Q.1: What makes your product better than others? [top]
A: Our product is manufactured in America and is used by professional finishers worldwide due to it's UV resistance and high durability. With NO isocyanates, which can be carcinogenic and hazardous to your health, it cures within 48 hours and is touch dry in 3-5 minutes making this product the fastest drying in the industry. It is also specially designed to respond to hot and cold temperatures for an incredibly durable, high gloss finish.
Q.2: Why should I consider refinishing rather than replacement? [top]
A: First of all, to replace something you MUST first tear out the old items. When considering the cost of replacement you must consider tear out, cost of replacement item, labor for installation, not to mention the mess and time it will take. For example, normal costs for renovating a bathroom ranges from $3,000 to $6,000 and will usually take one and a half to two weeks to complete. Refinishing takes less than one - two days. To replace a kitchen costs up to $15,000. Refinishing takes 2 - 3 days and will save up to 70% vs. replacement.
Q.3: What bathroom and kitchen surfaces can be refinished? [top]
A: Our EP-Acrylic refinishing system works beautifully on: bathtubs, sinks, shower enclosures, vanity units, ceramic tiles, kitchen benchtops & cabinets, clawfoot bathtubs, oven doors, refrigerators, dishwashers, cultured marble counter tops and various fiberglass, acrylic and laminated surfaces.
Q.4: How are the coatings applied? [top]
A: These coating are two part coatings, base and catalyst, and are best applied using a HVLP (high velocity-low pressure) spray equipment. These coatings do not produce their best result when sprayed through conventional spray equipment.
Q.5: Will my refinished surface look painted? [top]
A: Definitely NOT. You probably will not be able to tell the difference. Refinishing will make that old chipped, stained, or colour-dated item look "New" again.
Q.6: What is EP-Acrylic? [top]
A: EP-Acrylic is a high performance acrylic polymer coating specifically designed for refinishing porcelain, fiberglass, Formica, and other surfaces with a high gloss, long-lasting, hard finish. EP-Acrylic has been on the market for over 10 years and is the coating of choice of refinishers worldwide.
Q.7: How long will it take? [top]
A: One of the key benefits of refinishing is that it can usually be completed in less than one day. Our refinished bathtubs can be used in 24 hours and are fully cured in 48 hours.
Q.8: How do I clean and maintain my refinished fixture? [top]
A: We recommend Miracle Cleaner, a specially designed cleaner made for the refinished fixtures. This strong but non-abrasive cleaner will safely keep your fixture clean without dulling the gloss like any abrasive cleaner will do or any store bought gel cleaner without bleach or chlorine.
Q.9: What if my bathtub or counter top is damaged? [top]
A: Small chips and cracks can be repaired during the cleaning and preparation stage of refinishing. Your technician will inform you if the chip or cracks cannot be repaired prior to refinishing your fixture.
Q.10: How long will it last? [top]
A: A bathroom or kitchen fixture refinished with EP-Acrylic should easily last 10 to 15 years or longer with proper care and maintenance.
